About Koh Phi Phi
Koh Phi Phi shot to global fame via the movie 'The Beach' — its emerald waters, towering limestone cliffs, and breathtaking Maya Bay make it a must-visit Thai paradise. Maya Bay reopened after a 3-year ecological restoration with strict visitor caps and no-swimming rules. At Monkey Beach, you can get up close with wild macaques. The Phi Phi Viewpoint offers the iconic panorama of twin crescent bays, while Viking Cave is the heart of the bird's nest soup industry. November to April is the best season — consider staying overnight to experience the island's tranquility after day-trippers leave, and enjoy beach parties and snorkeling adventures.

Top Attractions in Koh Phi Phi
Maya Bay
The legendary cove from "The Beach" with Leonardo DiCaprio. 100m limestone cliffs on three sides, powder-white sand and turquoise water. Reopened 2022 after 3-year ecological restoration. Strict visitor caps, no swimming — book early.
Monkey Beach
A small white-sand beach with playful macaque monkeys. Reach by kayak or longtail boat. Monkeys are accustomed to humans but can be aggressive — don't feed them. Excellent snorkeling with colorful fish and coral. Visit in the morning.
Phi Phi Viewpoint
Iconic viewpoint overlooking double crescent bays — one of Thailand's most photographed scenes. A 20-30 min uphill climb with stairs. Best at sunrise or sunset. Three viewpoints, each more spectacular. Bring water and go early.
Viking Cave (Tham Phaya Nak)
A limestone cave named after wall paintings resembling Viking ships. Center of the bird's nest soup industry — workers harvest swiftlet nests from bamboo scaffolds. Boats stop outside; entry forbidden. East side of Phi Phi Ley.
Loh Dalum Bay
The wide shallow bay — heart of Phi Phi nightlife. By day: sunbathing and swimming. By night: beach bars, fire shows, bucket drinks and barefoot dancing. Very shallow, walk hundreds of meters into the sea. Stunning westward sunset views.
